Phew! So you want to be a sustainable, green/eco-savvy chef, catering and events company..?! Sounds sexier than it seems! Boy have we been busy greening out our operations and partnerships! It's the reason why we've not been very "sociable" blogging in the past few months.
Robin and her entire family have been busy installing our very own garden and I've even installed a patio herb and edible flower garden. And as if that wasn't enough....we've partnered with the folks at Fox Haven Farms in Jefferson, Maryland, to provide our kitchen with local, organic fruits and vegetables, in addition to being one of our partner venues for catering, cooking classes and all culinary events!
Beginning in July (7/13/2013, to be exact), we'll be hosting classes and events at Fox Haven Farms right through the end of the year! So make sure to check out their website and Facebook page for additional info.
Finally, because we're up and running with our main goal of being able to source all of our fresh produce ingredients locally, we're moving head-on into our internship program here at Homeshed Kitchens.
